My new theory of Earth
So I was thinking about how Mars used to have water but it's all gone now. Then I was thinking about how life (photosynthetic organisms) first developed in the water because that's just how it happened. Then to adapt, they grew deep roots to hold them steady in the ground and to suck up the water. I think this happened because the Earth was once entirely covered in water. Although the cycle of precipitation says water should recycle itself, I believe a lot of it gets lost because of the energy the processes take. So, the water cannot sustain itself forever. That's why now we have huge continents, because the water disappears over a period of time. Unfortunately, this means that sometime in the future, Earth will be a dry, barren wasteland like Mars.
